Arne Durr dcf9c3a880 Update standard_parts.scad
Fixed: "TODO (from MCAD): proper screw cap values: instead of "height" will use METRIC_BOLT_CAP_HEIGHTS[size]+tolerance" this is not necessary because the cap height is the bold size so M3 cap is 3mm heigh.
Also fixed some tolerances because they where terrible big. On my print a M3 hole could fit a M4 bold and in the nut holder the nut could almost turn around.
Removed radius from hole_for_screw and hole_for_nut to clean up the code and it fixed errors in the STL output of OpenSCAD.

Hardware for Cyclone-PCB-Factory

Version 2.0

Developed in the department of innovation and robotics of bq.

Adressing all the issues from the original design, and implementing improvements by yOPERO, Martin Zabojnik and others.

  • More robust design with tougher parts:
  • Better holders for the linear bearings (vibration made them slide away)
  • Reinforced nut/screw holders
  • Anti-backlash mechanisms
  • Improved gears with smoother edges
  • Attachment for a vacuum cleaner
  • Better scalability (parameterized design)
  • Using a Dremel 200 as the spindle motor
  • Integrated endstop holders

Future improvements:

  • Endstop integration for Z (integrated probe)
  • Re-implement the Z carriage, currently inherited from Cyclone V1

The new design tries to be more parameterized:
